Shipping Prices
Shipping prices are calculated using the weight of the order and the distance between the warehouse and zip code where the merchandise is being delivered. In most cases, the larger the order, the higher the freight cost is. Usually, residential delivery is available for an additional charge of $50.00 in most cases. Under no circumstances will we charge your card more than the amount we quoted you. However, in the rare case an error is made we reserve the right to cancel or deny any order.
Shipping options
We will ship your product to any location you desire. Delivery charges to a business or a freight terminal is usually the same in most cases. Shipping to a residential address will add $50.00 to your freight cost but, we find that to be the most preferred method. Because it is more convenient and also, because of the weight of the product being shipped.
Transit Time
We are not a shipping company. However, we will assist in any way we can with tracking information and estimate time of delivery. Generally, transit times within the United States can take any where from 3 to 10 business days. Please factor in delivery time into your project when placing an order. Total Floors Express cannot be held liable for delayed shipments.
Delivery request with lift gate is available in most areas which means that the truck driver unload the materials at the site with an elevator lift. Once the driver unloads the merchandise (usually with a pallet jack) you have to sign for the order. Charges for lift gate start around $100 and up subject to availability.
What you must do when your order arrives:
Inspect the merchandise for damages. If you notice damages, make sure that they are noted on the bill of lading before the driver leaves (very important) and make sure that the driver gives you a copy of this receipt. We cannot accept freight damage claims without damage claims noted on the receipt. You or someone you designate must be home to accept delivery. You will be handed the products from the back of the truck, the driver will not put the items in your home. Place your floor in to the room, not the garage where it is to be installed to allow for the proper acclimation time.
Please do not refuse your shipment without calling us first. As we mentioned before, your product is insured by the carrier, and most concerns can be resolved immediately without having to refuse the product. If you refuse delivery without consulting with us first, this may result in additional charges including but not limited to storage and re-delivery.
